Intending to travel its exhibit from site to site around the globe, Sun Microsystems, for its International
Partner Symposium, provided us with a challenge. How to make an exhibit look substantial and attractive while
also being able to move it easily and without great expense from one location to another? The solution was a
design, inspired by the meeting logo, painted on fabric panels that, when removed from their floor supports,
were truly portable. The hand-treated muslin panels could literally be rolled up and fit into mailing tubes
for easy shipping to any exotic destination.
The fabric pieces were only part of our Symposium staging challenges. We also facilitated both a trade show
and a tech fair in which partners showcased their latest offerings and SUN introduced technological advances
on a series of servers. These impressive top-tier communication elements worked as educational and marketing
And our tireless video staff worked around the clock. Each day, we conducted on-site interviews
that we edited overnight and layered throughout the following days of the Symposium. The interviews enabled
us to hear partner comments as well as augment other communication elements. The editing team also worked
through the night putting together a four-minute finale, capturing highlights of the event to close the Symposium.
SUN expressed delight at the cost solutions we offered and the powerful and portable images we provided!
