Due to the scope of this internal product launch for Amgen, Jerry Bagger was brought in by JMW to produce the 'big tent'
elements of this critical event with several other hotel and off-site venues staffed for additional activities. Not
only did the large ballroom serve as the nexus of all business sessions for over 900 attendees, it was also the site
of spirited musical entertainments. Music, in fact, was the overall theme of the Amgen show.
To illustrate and punctuate the theme, numerous musical motifs were developed as key components of the creative design. Staging
and facilitating each created provocative challenges. A high level exec "conducted" a diverse symphony of eclectic, seemingly
disharmonious instruments from around the globe, Taiko Drummers gave one session an animated start, a real conductor captivated
the audience with a team-building exercise using tone bars and a "boy band" comprised of executives lip-synched to custom
client-specific lyrics while a knock-out vocal group provided "real voices" in the background during a dramatic reveal.
In another team-building event we provided participants with drums and, with direction and inspiration from the "motivator",
assured that everyone was "in sync". Thanks to the production team and a receptive and collaborative client, Amgen's employees
were all marching to the beat of the same drum.
